Shakira, Prince Royce and Romeo Santos were among the top winners at Premios Juventud 2026, as the annual celebration of Latin music and culture made its European debut at the Starlite Marbella amphitheater in Spain.

The ceremony marked a significant new chapter for the awards show, bringing the celebration to Europe for the first time. Marbella provided the backdrop for a night that brought together established stars, emerging artists and performers representing multiple generations of Latin music.

Five artists emerged among the night’s biggest individual winners, with Aitana, Alejandro Fernández, Prince Royce, Romeo Santos and Shakira each taking home three awards.

SHAKIRA’S THREE-WIN NIGHT

Shakira continued her extraordinary run with three victories. She was named Premios Juventud Female Artist, while also taking home the OMG Collaboration award for “Dai Dai” with Burna Boy, and Best Pop Song for “Bésame” with Alejandro Sanz.

ROMEO SANTOS & PRINCE ROYCE TAKE THE TROPICAL CROWN

Romeo Santos and Prince Royce dominated the tropical categories together, earning three awards for their collaborative project Better Late Than Never.

Their song “Dardos” won Tropical Hit, while “Lokita Por Mí” took Tropical Mix. Their joint album, Better Late Than Never, was also named Best Tropical Album.

AITANA & ALEJANDRO FERNÁNDEZ ALSO TAKE THREE

Spanish pop star Aitana was another major winner, earning three awards including Best Euro-Song for “SUPERESTRELLA” , Best Pop Album for Cuarto Azul, and Couple Goals alongside Plex.

Alejandro Fernández likewise collected three awards. His wins included Mi Track Favorito for “Me Está Doliendo” with Carín León, Best Pop/Ballad Song for “Sin Despedida” with Carlos Rivera, and Best Mexican Banda Music for “El Rey” with Vicente Fernández.

BAD BUNNY, KAROL G & A NEW GENERATION

The ceremony also recognized some of Latin music’s biggest contemporary names. Bad Bunny won Premios Juventud Male Artist and Best Tour for his Debí Tirar Más Fotos World Tour, while Karol G took Album of the Year for Tropicoqueta .

MARBELLA MAKES HISTORY

Beyond the individual wins, the location itself became part of the story. Premios Juventud 2026 brought the awards ceremony to Starlite Marbella in Andalucía, Spain, marking a major expansion for an event traditionally associated with the Americas.

The evening also featured performances and special recognition for artists and cultural figures whose work has influenced generations of Latin audiences.

With its move to Spain, Premios Juventud 2026 delivered more than another awards ceremony. It placed Latin music on a distinctly European stage while bringing together established icons, contemporary chart leaders and emerging voices for a celebration of the global reach of Hispanic culture.
