I n Tokyo, the Spring 2027 collection approached the runway with an idea that sounds almost invisible: lightness.
Designer Koki Enomoto titled the collection “Lightly,” using movement, air, transparency, and the relationship between fabric and the body as its starting point. The inspiration reportedly began with an ordinary moment—a piece of gray netting fluttering in the wind beneath an overpass—which led Enomoto to consider how clothing might make something invisible suddenly visible.
That thought became the foundation for a collection that feels deliberately restrained but never lifeless. Rather than relying on excessive decoration, the focus concentrated on fabric, silhouette, proportion, and movement.
“Lightly” asks how much space clothing really needs between itself and the body.
The Art of Less
Enomoto began with textiles, considering how each material behaved once placed on the moving body. The collection incorporated lightweight cottons, translucent cupra cotton, silk, extremely thin leather, and delicate technical fabrics.
A translucent trucker jacket transformed a familiar workwear shape into something almost weightless. Thin leather blazers could be rolled at the sleeves like poplin, while striped hooded shirts in yellow silk moved freely around the body.

The answer to oversized dressing was not simply to make everything smaller. Instead, the collection explored a slimmer silhouette while preserving room for movement.
